Turning Ideas into Stories People Remember

3 min read

The Challenge

Consumer brands rarely arrive with just one communication need. A brand may need to launch something, build awareness, communicate a product benefit, create a social conversation, or simply say something people will remember.

The challenge was turning those different objectives into clear creative ideas that could become actual stories. The work also needed to move comfortably between different formats — from campaign concepts and scripts to social content and video.

Content & Creative

Mental Ghoda Universe gave me the opportunity to work at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, advertising, and creative execution — translating different brand objectives into ideas and narratives that could work across formats.

The work spanned consumer brands including Luminous, Amaron, Raymond, Biba, and Dixon, with projects across advertising, social media, video, and campaign storytelling.

The Approach

I approached the work from the idea first, execution second.

Story Development
Turned brand messages into narratives rather than simply presenting product information.

Brand & Campaign Thinking
Started with the communication objective and looked for the central idea that could give the campaign its direction.

Creative Development
Worked with creative teams to develop concepts and shape them into executable campaign ideas.

Social Storytelling
Adapted campaign thinking into social-first formats that could communicate the same idea in shorter, more immediate ways.

Scriptwriting
Developed scripts for advertising and video, shaping the idea through dialogue, structure, pacing, and visual storytelling.

Multi-Brand Adaptation
Moved between very different brands and audiences while adapting the storytelling approach to each brand's personality and objective.

What the audience would care about.

The Impact

  • Learned to translate varied brand objectives into clear creative directions.

  • Developed stronger narrative thinking across advertising, social, and video.

  • Built experience writing for visual formats rather than relying only on written content.

  • Worked alongside creative teams to develop and refine ideas for execution.

  • Built the ability to move between very different industries, audiences, and brand personalities.

What I Took From It

A good idea needs a story people can enter.

Working across campaigns taught me that the strongest brand communication isn't always the one with the most information. It is the one that finds the right human angle and gives the audience a reason to care.

Writing taught me how to find the words. Creative work taught me how to find the idea behind them.

And that is where storytelling becomes strategy.

From creating communication

To creating the thinking and storytelling behind the communication.
